How much energy total is the symbiote difficulty

Im preparing to start the symbiote difficulty and need to know how many energy refills I need to 100%. I want to use boosts in a conservative fashion and not waste strands so I'm looking for a total number. I already know the path count for the quest so I just need total energy

    there is some good videos on this particularly from seatin he used round about 300-400 shards

    I believe for Master and Heroic you will need 38 or 39 refills depending on whether your energy bar is full when you start. Epic will take a 1 or 2 more since the first chapter is twice the energy of Master and Heroic.
