Why are some champions on the same rank as mine so much higher

I have a 4 star iron patriot and my friend has a 4 star sentry both on rank 4/5 but his is 700 hero rating higher than mine. Both mine and his are duped. His I think is duped one more time than mine, but one dupe wouldn’t boost his rating by 700. Can someone please explain this?

    Ok I can see how that helps, but I also have a winter soldier that’s like 300 less than my own iron patriot

    Masteries increase the PI of champs.

    Some masteries increase it by more.

    all champs are different. then masteries change that. but it doesnt change how effective they are

    Every Champs starting PI is different. Some are really high, and some are low. For example Phoenix has a really high PI. Her r2 5* has almost the same PI as my r3 5* winter soldier.
