AW rewards and tiers

Can someone please explain to me how this happens as I've put a ticket in to kabam and received 3 obvious generic copy and paste replies
So prior to our previous war it was showing us in 12
Then when match was found and war was active it still showed us in tier 12
Within a couple hrs of war being over our rewards changed to tier 13
We won the war and recieved tier 13 rewards. But now our current standing show us in tier 11
So I understand that the rank is constantly changing as new scores come in , but I have no idea how or why tier rewards can change during an active war . If we lost and dropped to tier 13 that I understand. So @kabammike can you or someone else please explain this without copying and pasting some bs generic response
