My predicament!

So i managed to get through acts 3 and 4 with the same 5 basic 4 star champs and have now reached 5 paths remaining to uncollected with the same 5. And, having ranked no additional 4s to r5 I have saved and horded considerable t4c and t2 alphas...thought i would use a few on new more current 4s to take them to r5 and save the rest for 6s. Now with the release of act 6 i find out i cannot use anybody who is 4 star that i rank now...and of 30 5 star champs i don't have one i care to waste t4c on right now...so kabam has put me in a rock and a hard place...use them on 5s and pretty much waste them or use them on 4s and definately waste them...what to do?

    In all honesty, if youre JUST getting to uncollected, you shouldnt think about act 6 what soever. Act 6 was not made with your level roster in mind.

    Rank ups depend purely on who you have and needs.

    Focus on getting act 4 and act 5 explored, which your 5/50s will help with.

    I have 4 stars that are far better but soon i can't use em for anything but grinding...well awakened, tons of synergy choices..i can plug one or two 5s in at r3 but why rank an unawakened 5 star hawkeye when you have a 4 awakened to 80? So really i get better with results with awakened synergies 4s...and more arena points cause i can play them 4 times to ever 2 i can play 5s. So just not really attractive to waste supplies on.

    You’ll be just fine. You still have a ton of work to do. 5/50s make arena a breeze too. Can still use them in EQs.

    It really isn't about act 6 either...it is crytals that take weeks to build dumping out useless champs and 100 plus of the slowest crystals to build and the easiest to build dumping out nothing to help build 5s...and basically hearing that you will need a "variety" of champs...so a bunch of time intensive grinding for collecting of pieces of things to grow a roster? The whole collecting of level after level of the exact same champs is getting old. I really would have thought they would have reduced the number of champs as the tiers went up but 140 5, 100 what 6s? Somehow feels like just alittle too far to go to nowhere...not for nothing i bought the special recon crystal...150 units...i swear i didn't see it pass a single 4 as it spun and.maybe 5 3.stars??? That gonna help us much? New 2 stars of champs i have already raised as 3,4 and even 5 already? Thanks! I really needed that 2 star massacre just didn't know it i guess.

    The crystal reel means nothing. It’s just for show.

    I personally love collecting exclusive 2*.

    Anyway, 5* Hawkeye is sweet, but do what you like. Good luck!

    Just guess i don't see a r3 5 as really, at this point, an improvement to my roster other than my being able to say i have a r3 5... and just not interested in grinding up 100 more champs (duplicates of lower tiers i have already got) all over again at the current pace. And not lowering the number of shards? And no sign of additional shards anywhere else but the calander, crystals dropping 2s instead of 4s...do see anything to compell me onward...will probably complete uncollected in a couple of weeks just to finish it....then...i don't know. Lots more offers to buy them but that just leaves me cold to think about how many i would have to buy over time to progress to unlocked synergized teams and squads that i have created and recreated and recreated again already!

    Bud i have some great champs! are you listening? I also have them awakened as hell as 4s...really? Use 3 skill t4c to rank a 5 unawakened to r3 when you got them as a 4 at nearly 99? Sorry but that just seems a stupid trade off...size for ability. All this gate doodoo has done is it has taken away my reason to play for fours, and has set me up for months and months of focused grinding just for 5 shards and wading through a ton of doo, and ultimately this gate business is obviously really for players like me who have the skill and can get through the material with that skill and 4 stars...

    If 4*s will still help you progress than rank some 4*s. They can be used everywhere but act 6.

    It sounds like you want to rank 4 stars, so rank 4 stars. Act 6 is well beyond your reach for the moment. Get uncollected, and use the 4 stars to start pounding out UC EQ. The 5 star shards flow like water then, and you'll get every thing you need to take up new, better five stars you'll be pulling.

    Don't worry about that gate for now - it doesn't affect you yet. If I had enough rank down tickets to use on every four star I own, I wouldn't do it, even though I know I won't be using them in act 6 as I finish exploring it. They still provide necessary utility for areas like Variant, and they still help me grind arena. 4 stars aren't useless anywhere except act 6. Just take up the powerful 5 stars as you get them.

    Wait... I would 100% rank up unawakened 5* Hawkeye over awakened 4*. No question. He doesn’t need his awakened ability at all, and then you have a good 5* for Act 6 when you get there.
    I agree. Ironically, however, I didn't take mine to R4 until I used a Gem on him. Wasn't really planned that way, just happened to have the Resources when I used it. LOL. He's still definitely effective without it, and the Sig only triggers once.

    Collect resources until they are going to expire, then rank the best of who you have on hand, it's a future planning game, soon you will reach the stage t4cs don't mean anything as they are overflowing for higher level players I have thousands of unopened t4c shards crystals let alone t4c and glory crystals, so really the 4*s that I've ranked aren't really prescious resources anymore anyway, it's all about t2a and t5b now. the 5* Hawkeye has better health and attack rating so he is actually a more logical rankup, his dupe ability doesn't mean much and eventually you will probably dupe him anyway

    I did plan for the future...back when fours were part of it...they have disincentivized collecting and raising 4s. They have really disincentivized collecting 5s with it taking so long to build to a disappointment. That traps a bunch of us "in between" with 100 plus 5s remaining in the basic? With an ever enlarging list of items to collect, in ever more tiny pieces to dump into a champ that may never dupe by the time you need him to be really useful? It's all about pay to win. "Buy your way through 100 plus crystals and skip the headache"? Not interested in buying awakenings crystals to open the one class i can't use or the one class that is all dogs...too many of them...some fixed but, as is typical of kabam fashion, after the damage has been done and we hate the champ too much to use em at all. So months of grinding and cracking crystals full of garbage looking for a pearl among them and then hope that out of the 140 champs maybe they will pop a second time within the next 2 years...not my idea of.progression or fun...and in a progressive game you use your best champs, you aren't forced to abandon them to invest in doodoo just so you can keep playing...any 4s i raise now become obsolete once i complete act 5....130 plus waisted champs representing hundreds of hours of effort to aquire and raise? Just not willing to give them up and start from scratch yet again collecting and raising thensame champs i raised as 2 stars 4 years ago.

    So ultimately, because this is a pay to win move, thier plan of gates is because the plans of players like me have worked too well.

    They don't want anyone playing and winning end game material who has only used 15 t4c total. They have made the champs ever more powerful and now 4s are so strong that with the right synergies and awakened they have made that a real possibility for many of us. One they would like to do away with, ONE THEY ARE DOING AWAY WITH...

    They are forcing us to go bigger not better! I play like i am David! Goliath was bigger and the bigger they are the harder they fall (and the more gratifying!) Give me a sling shot and a rock and "catch me outside! How 'bout dat?"
