    As a big player of GG I can answer your questions. He IS good although a lot of people don't seem to think so. Trick is he needs to be duped and at a high duped level.

    Why? Because being duped gives him the chance to power drain, poison, and incinerate on every special. Being at higher dupe level makes it more likely to occur per bar of power. So, that's double power drain potential on special 1 (plus you have chance to get it on other specials) and adds poison incinerate to it, then double incinerate and poison on sp2 and so on.

    Also, GG works like Storm, his base damage is average, but he has the potential to do really high damage with his specials. He also has a synergy with any of the spidermen to increase that damage per cunning/madness charge, and has a built in chance to have higher special damage.

    In terms of utility, he can heal from any non special attack and cause specials to deal 30% less damage, plus his sp1 has a high strength weakness attached to it that reduces enemy attack. He can take an sp3 or two when the weakness and charges are active and he can also have near perfect block because the enemy will deal less damage and he will regen from blocked damage he takes. He also stops the enemy from gaining power as quickly, so in instances where the enemy would power gain up to an sp3 quickly like a Mordo he will hinder that ability and then he can also power drain with the sp1. Especially when duped he can also stop enemies from regenerating with the poison on his sp2, because you can get double poison paired with the Despair mastery.

    He's not god tier, but he's good, however don't rank or use up materials on him unless you can dupe him and bring up the sig level.

    I've been asking myself the same thing. I got a 4* on my shelf and I was wondering if he's indeed viable. I've levelled him up to 2/20 but I think without the sig he is not worth getting higher than that. He has some interesting synergies, but the chance of his bag of tricks is so low (20% chance to incinerate on heavy and only 40% chance to power drain a meagre 8% power, a complete joke), it doesn't worth it. His gaining cunning/madness is fairly passive and the effects are difficult to control, which makes them unreliable (like, you don't want to push over one bar of power and gain a cunning charge when you're preparing to tank a SP3).

    To answer your question: I would level-up him to 1/25, maybe to 2/35 if you've resources to spare, but no further than that as long he isn't duped. Even then, he might not worth going to 3/45, unless you plan to have him as AW defender (he is just terrible to fight against).

    Green goblin is alright. I have a 5* r3 goblin and i enjoy using him
