Intercept after attacking the block

Is anyone else pissed about this? It’s really annoying that I have to change the way I fight because they can’t fix the game. Kabam said they were going to fix that and I haven’t seen it yet.
I dive in and hit the block and back up and they exploded at me so fast that you can’t medium intercept. I tried to switch it to the light intercept but it is inconsistent. Sometimes it works and other I get popped.
It’s like kabam is just trying to wait it out to see if people stop complaining. The champs are still just sitting their and not being aggressive and the lag is so ridiculous. The ultrons in variant 1 are beyond ridiculous with the lag. I feel like we were like teleport.
