My second 5* to rank 5

Hey there,

I am debating who shall be my second rank 5 5* and thought the community might have some ideas...

A little bit of info on myself: I have been quite active until 13 months ago. Then I quit the game for good and haven‘t logged in for a year... After seeing Endgame in cinema, I was intrigued to log in and see what‘s new... :)

Currently, I have only one 5/65, my duped StarLord.

I have three 6*: Dormammu, Cable, Iron Fist.

I am not in an active alliance and don‘t intend to join one, so AQ and AW are out of the way...

I have completed 6.1 once and also Variant 2 once. My next goal ist to explore Variant 2 which I should be able to do even without the 2nd r5.

However, I think for completing and exploring Variant 1 and also exploring 6.1, the second r5 (and also the third one from exploring Variant 2) will be very helpful...

Below ist my current 5* roster... I am leaning heavily towards Blade, but also consider Iceman and Cap IW (who is unfortunately undupe). Have also pulled a Domino recently and have a Mutant awakening Gem, but am in serious lack of Mutant T4CC (only have 2, so Even Iceman would take a while, if I don‘t pull a mutant gem from the rank 5 crystal in Variant 2)...

Sooo... Any ideas?

    i would focus on domino or cap iw. domino doesn't need to be awakened, it just helps.

    Blade, CapIW, Domino are probably your best bets. Joining an alliance will get you t4CC faster

    Thanks guys... Unfortunately I don‘t have the Time and Energy to actively participate in AQ and AW... There are a lot of T4CC through login calendar and solo-quests (Story and event) so I guess, I will eventually be ok, it will just take a bit more time... :)

    If only you had Masacre, you would've gotten the full flaming trinity. Then I would've said Domino without any doubt but since you don't, I'm not that certain anymore.

    Cap IW is pretty awesome but he needs his dupe and a really high signature level to be insane. So I'd not go with him either.

    I see that Gladiator Hulk who could be a potential R5. He's a beast for both Variants and counters a lot of fun and interactive damage. I'd personally go for him but Domino is a really strong competitior too.

    Thank you all for your constructive feedback!

    I think my best bet will be to push through Variant 2 first, and to see, what class of rank 5 gem I get... :) I’ll let you guys know!

    So a little update... I still haven’t finished Variant 2... I am down to the 1 last path on Map 3.2, and 4 paths on 3.3...

    However, I dumped all of my last units on the 4th of July deals, got a generic awakening gem, used it on Cap, put some sig stones into him and he ist now my new top champ at 5/65... He does quite well! :)

    What i also got on 4th of July was a 5* tech rank 5 rank up gem... First I was mad, because I already have Starlord at 5/65 and no other suitable tech champ... And now I pulled Sentinel... Is he rank 5 worthy unawakened? He could help me in variant 2, I guess... I will have 2 chances on awakening him in the near future, 1st after finishing Variant 2, and second at the end of the 3-months-appreciation calendar... Bit of a gamble, though...

    Maybe Ultron instead?

    I am greatful for any ideas... :)

    (Oh, and I still don’t do AQ and AW... I only do questing...)

    Iceman all the way! bleed, poison and incinerate immune, Coldsnap, Frostbite and Limited SP3 damage. Need I say more?

    FINALLY, thanks! :smiley:

    I am all in for iceman as well... Quadruple immunity (including limited stun immunity), Evade counter, and power control (being the ability to forget about the opponent’s power, because you can tank up to 20 SP3s in a fight)... Also good damage if you spam sp1 and detonate the frost charges with a heavy... I love him!

    I hope I pull a mutant r5 gem, then I can rank him up and use my T5 basics to rank up blade...

    BUT: What do I do with that r5 tech gem? :smiley:

    Sentinel? Ultron? Keep waiting?
