Confusing node description or I'm overlooking something? Kabam , would appreciate some clarity

This is variant 1 chapter 3.2 with Pilfer node .

The description says that's any active buff has 20% chance to be Pilfered or nullified but any cruelty buff that I earn with corvus in this map gets pilfered everytime I enter a new fight. That's 100% of the times.

So does that mean my understanding of the node is wrong or the description is not correct.

I'm confused guys , would appreciate your help

    This is naive, but I wouldn't worry about this global node too much, definitely one of the easier paths in this chapter, just gotta worry about the power gain.

    I believe you understand the node correct and perhaps it's just very bad RNG, maybe do a test run using someone besides corvus (venom or medusa) that have more buffs and see how they get pilfered then
