**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.

What is the point of aw now

With the new system for aw not including defender kill points how can a small alliance of better fighters beat a bigger alliance. The way the points are dispersed if both alliances max diversity and 100% all 3 maps the larger defense rating will always win regardless of the opponents skill. This new aw is rigged so even if they need to spend to 100% they will win. Against bigger alliances you lose before your first fight. There is no reason for the smaller alliance to use pots beyond getting to Max rewards. With defender kills aw offered a chance that you could win through skill. Now there is no skill involved it comes down to who has the highest points in defense rating. Can someone please explain how this can be called a war not a measurement of how high the pi of your champs are?

I'm not a noob and understand they want to encourage spending. They must really believe people are stupid to think they will spend when they have lost from the start. Bring back war as it was intended. Let the more skilled team win rather than the team lucky enough to pull the highest pi defenders. If you want to encourage diversity put a lock in place so no more than on copy of a champ can be used by a BG or remove portals (a boring waste of energy) and increase the number of defenders that can be placed

It’s pretty simple. The verbiage is everywhere. “Encourage progress” “have summoners use different champs and rank them”

They want you to use resources on bad champs. They want you to arena for rocket the same you arena for voodoo. They don’t want to fix their broken champs, they want to make it necessary for you to rank and use them regardless of them being good or not.

So if you wanna win wars. Your better be ranking champs you have mats for. Not waiting for champs
    You want

Thought the point was to fight to win. It's not a fight when it comes down to who has more rank 3 5*s and 5/50 4*s on defense. There isn't even a point to placement when the map can be 100% in all 3 bgs every war.

War! Uh! Good god. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing. Say it again.

It's all about extending the game and ranking awful champs. Poor attempt. Kabam always does the opposite of what they should do. They create problems before there is one because of fear. If they would just have good customer service and do right by their customers the game would last a long time and they would make more money.
  • Hey there,

As we said before, we realize that we haven't hit the mark on Alliance Wars, but we are not done with trying to get there yet. We're working on further iterations that will bring the competitiveness back to Alliance Wars, and to make Defender Rating and Diversity the tie breakers they were always meant to be.

We know it's taking longer than we all would have hoped, but we're very dedicated to getting this right. There is already a thread on Alliance Wars, so we're going to close this thread down now.
