Why no in game message about maintenance?

Kabam, why would you not send an in game message? LOL, you know you are going to have hundreds of people complaining on here because they were fighting and the game went down. We should not have to check the forum before every fight. In the future, make sure to send an in game mail to everyone. Major ball drop here, feel bad for you guys on what's to come.

    Hey @Gregdagr8,

    Unfortunately, sending an in game message on such short notice is not always possible. Every one of our messages must be translated to every language that we support, and doing that in such a short time period is not feasible. We can't just send one in English, or just to English Speaking summoners.

    On a rare occasion, we will send out a message to some users in certain languages while we are continuing translations, and then send the rest as soon as we have the Translations, but for a short timeline like we had today, this was not possible.

    It's also why we ensured that the Orange "Maintenance Starting Soon" bar was displayed prior to the Maintenance today.
