Maybe you've just found 'that' magneto for the first time on act 4.2.6 and decided today is not the day to pray to the RNG gods, burn all your potions and then rage quit a few times.
Maybe you made the wrong move in alliance and mucked up de-buffing a node for a colleague.
Maybe you just want to map out more of the map and not have to retread every single node you just unlocked again for 4 energy a node.
Regardless, I think it would be useful to be able to spend energy and move backwards on maps...
