why do i need a T4 Cosmic catalyst to upgrade a skill champ? is this normal?

    Every star level of Karnak has needed cosmic and skill cats to rank him up, especially as he gets higher. It's likely that, while he is an Inhuman (Cosmic), he relies a lot on his hand-to-hand (skill) in fights given what his Inhuman ability really is. Really, the best thing going for him besides the synergy with Medusa, is his True Strike ability from his S1.

    Some others have already mentioned it here, but he requires Cosmic Catalysts because of his Inhuman ancestry, so he is rather unique among Skill Champions.
