A new spot has opened up! If you’re looking to join in and get a map 5 run done, we’ve started really late this week due to the turnover and maintenance, so you have until 9pm eastern to join up, and get another map 6 crystal or two. CHQ: Rickthemang#iTve Line: Rickthemang

A couple of more spots are available! Even after a major recent reorganization, where a BG split off to form a new alliance, we are still at 16M rating and 6400 prestige. (And, we’re neck and neck vs a 21M plat 3 AW opponent...) Contact our boss on Line or CHQ: Line: Rickthemang CHQ: Rickthemang#iTve

Just a couple of more spots available, if you're interested in playing with an organized team, we'd like to talk to you! We use CHQ and try to pre-assign paths and lines, just to make sure there's no confusion and it's easy and obvious of what to do for the entire BG. Line: Rickthemang CHQ Rickthemang#iTve

FYI after the recent AW announcements there was a bit of a kerfluffle between some of the officers, and several of the members split off to create the seventh ally of the “family” of alliances. Which is why you might notice we are not totally full just yet. We’re using this AQ week to rebuild (so no map 6) but we are…

Who flagged this as spam? I’m not aware of any other posts from my ally. Whatevs

There are at least 2 5-star champs I’ve taken to rank 4 because of AW diversity: Black Panther and Yellowjacket. Even on an unblockable SP1 node, attackers at my level rarely ever seem to struggle with these champs. I think over the last 9 months Black Panther had a grand total of 2 KOs. And he’s not that useful as an…

Freeloading is a problem. Maybe we shouldn’t receive a cooldown penalty if the partner doesn’t get 2 kills in the first room? I’m seeing a lot of people jump into dungeon 5 with 3/30 champs, and I think they may be expecting a “boss killer” to carry them. I do think having a “lobby” step where you can try to do some basic…

I don't think it's just auto-block that's buggy. Reaction times are way too fast for things like evade. And I see lots of whiffing. Thus this really isn't "MODOK is bugged" but the entire game has some crazy flaws right now. But I just don't see people struggling significantly more or less with MODOK specifically, compared…

I own a 4/55 MODOK who is usually the BG's AW boss. He has been KOd with 0 or 1 kills at least 3x. Yes, many people have problems with him, but at tier 4 AW (around 2k ally rating) there are many, many players who have no problem. Would you say Spiderman needs to be nerfed? He's hard, but MODOK gets about as many kills at…

My hope is that the AW rating and overall season rankings generally sync up, then this won't be much of an issue. In some sense this is kind of the point of seasons, to incentivize teams to seek their best AW matchup. My guess is that after the first season the matchups will start to seem more fair, since good players will…

All you've listed are things that are beneficial to you as a user, but not to Kabam. An API won't be successful until the it's existence benefits the business that's providing it, regardless if users would like it. Maybe people would hang out a little longer, or core players would be slightly more engaged. But good APIs…
-
Unfortunately not too many games bother with this. The whole point of an API is third party integration, which basically means you're creating an ecosystem where other companies profit. APIs are kind of tricky to describe in terms of business value anyway, and for video games, I'm not sure what the business strategy would…

If they just get rid of having SP1s that do no damage, she'd be popular. She doesn't need a massive buff otherwise, it's just the game mechanics are all wrong.

While I understand what drives people to share accounts - I left an ally running map 6 and don’t care to ever do it again - doesn’t change the fact that even just logging in to move someone to eat up their energy violates TOS. So, I decided “no mas”. I’ve also decided if I need a break I’ll just take one. Easy. One nice…

Actually DNA was pretty close to what I was thinking. And I suspect some very rich people are in fact working on this problem, because it's very interesting to pretty much all mobile applications that have any kind of central server and have to secure data, not just mobile games. I just think that Apple and Google are…
-
I’m guessing this is also why Apple kind of swept Game Center under the rug. Vendors probably wanted to trust it, and well, that was probably much harder then they realized and the priority just wasn’t there yet.
-
I’m mostly just thinking aloud that 2FA with some “additional trusted context” provided by the device vendor (i.e., Apple and Google) is possible, but, yeah, there’s all kinds of nasty problems that make it kind of expensive to build. I wouldn’t count out that someone isn’t spending money on this sort of thing. There’s so…
-
Seems like there needs to be some kind of 2FA with additional context. I’d be surprised if someone isn’t working on this sort of thing for gaming already. My guess is that the 2FA service would have to track something like geolocation. Then it verifies that yep, the person signing in is near the same physical location as…

Yeah, I don't really think it's anything but a straight percentage, but I could totally see some PHB in a meeting just trying to keep things as flexible as possible "just you know, in case". I'm just bracing for the first reveal of "odds" to basically be meaningless lol. And then everyone says "WTF does this mean" and it…

I swear this is probably what Kabam is trying to argue they need to provide: "if you open a 5* crystal that's 100% chance of getting a 5*!" If the champs they designed were entirely equal, then yeah, everyone would be pretty happy that. But gawd, most champs are kind of disappointing, which makes even opening a 5* crystal…
-
I said something similar earlier, but this is a much cleaner way of saying it. I can't believe how hard I've eyerolled at people in Line chats with their Kabam rumors. And I've actually had someone troll groups with flat earther beliefs, which weren't anywhere near as annoying.
-
It's not confirmed at all, but it seems likely.
-
Holy cow, this is why we can't have nice things. lol There were a lot of great ideas, then everyone got caught up in concepts of gambling and predatory behavior. And then the trolls get wound up... What's interesting is that I think this illuminates why Apple trying to get ahead of public oversight. The moment the App…
-
I'd guess is that since transfer of the virtual goods invalidates TOS, that's why FTP games like MCOC are not considered gambling ... yet. But if enough people start causing problems because they can't handle their money, I'm willing to bet that government bodies will get involved. I suspect Apple is looking ahead, and…

Yeah, main evidence of this are all the people just doing very dumb things in Vegas, particuarly on all the table games. Craps, blackjack, roulette, have had very known "odds" for years, and yet, it really hasn't slowed anyone down.
-
This is a great point. Now that things are public, they'll get picked apart and bad ideas will surface real fast. Because dedicated players will spend time to identify any way to "game" the system. But not only this, with open numbers, other dedicated players will often make good suggestions on how to make the system…

> What use at all will this be for the players even IF Kabam issues drop rates? It'll change my behavior, for sure. Right now, I pretty much avoid all crystal purchases (unless I'm drunk). But, if the ratios are actually announced, I may just budget grind time to build up units for pulls, instead of just saving units for…
-
I checked out Futurama, which sure seemed to only offer loot boxes on occasion as direct purchases. So I do think the guidelines are probably in effect, but I have no idea if in-game currency counts as "purchases". Personally I'd find any justification of in-game currency not counting to be on shaky ground, especially…

I do wish they would balance the champs out, but, well, your 5* champs are going to be viable for a loooong time. Why quit if you've spent this much time playing the game over some RNG choice?
-
Does anyone have notes or reports from other games that have already had to disclose loot boxes? My google-fu is not strong today, I keep finding tons of articles by journalists, but nothing from an actual developer. My sense is that there's a lot that remains to be clarified. It's not clear to me Apple is really doing…
