  • Largely true; although given their large numbers, casuals have two more uses: 1 - they provide spenders/more dedicated players with opponents who can be beaten 2 - they build, maintain and spread information and hype (i.e. the community) about the game. I'm not a fan of BGs; but I can see the appeal, and how much it's…
  • Yes it is quite good, isn't it...😉 And oddly familiar 🤔 https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/comment/2252246/#Comment_2252246
  • Well, thanks everyone. Quite a spread of opinions; although Mantis showing strong. At least one person advising for each champion! In the end I decided that I'd go with my initial second-placed choice, Attuma. Mainly it's the uniqueness of his AAR reversal; since there are so many Disorient and Confusion-related nodes in…
  • As an Awakened six-star Maestro isn't terrible on Attack. He's just not good, either. He's actually pretty equivalent to Terrax; Vs an opponent like Winter Soldier. I have both Awakened at r4, and don't run Recoils: Let's make no bones about it: neither of these two is going to be any value at all on Attack in…
  • It's nice of you to be supportive, but having been around a long time, I'm confident in saying: Rap's relentless negativity isn't going to be changed. (Check out his post history!) Secretly, I hope that he works it all off here; and he's all sunshine and positivity in real life...😉
  • In any type of Power Gain meta, he's amazing fun, because he benefits from aggressive play. On nodes like Kinetic reactor, once you've got 4+ Exhaustions on the opponent, you can block freely and they'll drain their own power hitting your block. In the same way, he's good for Power Gain champs like Hyperion, Aarkus, most…
  • Yes, it does. Not that you'll see much difference with a 4* relic; but a 5* or 6* Gambit relic definitely helps.
  • Take whichever you prefer - Dani is fun and has decent utility Unawakened; and only needs her Sig to be better against a few Skill debuff-shruggers like Nick Fury; and there are better champs to counter them, if that's what you want. Storm X is a solid defender and probably underrated on attack. Personally I'd wait for a…
  • Good luck, @G-Hun-Gear Now all you need to do is give up the forums 😉 Good luck though, and definitely find something else to fill the time
  • It does feel very over-tuned for a side quest. Opinions differ on how over-tuned it is; but no, Kabam aren't going to change it. Have you tried a robot, like Ultron? Or a non-contact attacker like Shuri? Make sure you save a special for his 5% Root. Push him to SP2s and punish them to pause the timer, and remember: in this…
  • Well, thanks for the tips, guys. Got through on my first attempt; with a combination of Bishop, Doom and Emma Frost. Two more to go! Link here to McocNoob, who generates really excellent guides to bosses like this: https://youtu.be/OzRdNJlSak4?si=LueQ3LsfbPVauyn8
  • It took me a good thirty seconds to work out LDS 😉
  • The forum used to have a Spotlights thread, which let you see both the old and new versions. Sadly it's been disabled, now
  • Shuri for general questing, and especially Necropolis. If you're into Battlegrounds, then your choice of Titania or Adam Warlock - that's one place where Shuri doesn't really shine.
  • He can stop Bullseye ever reaching a bar of power; which is about when he starts to cause trouble... https://youtu.be/CWM5DKvCG3M?si=yZilBjtNHjKboad5
  • My turn to share some delicious cheese. Reading the path in 8.4.5 that starts with Warlock, it was pretty clear that it was made for Mordo. On this path, each time you get a Fury, you also gain an Intensify buff, increasing the Potency of all future buffs by 25% Mordo can gain insane numbers of Fury buffs by charging a…
  • Show us the roster! Remember, not all bleed champs are skill - Ultron does pretty well for this fight. Other non-skill options would include Namor, Wolverine, Weapon X, and Yondu.
  • The Precision passive that you get for Intercepts works fine. However... Yep, that's the explanation. On the other hand, I did find that Shang-Chi's Slow was unreliable; and opponents seemed to Evade as normal. Any explanation for this? I wondered if there was interference from the Empyreal Defiance node; which is supposed…
  • Phew! Just quick enough there, @captain_rogers .... 😉 Bullseye's instant bleed damage isn't about skill; it's about either being bleed immune or having good enough power control to prevent Bullseye ever throwing a Special.
  • He's really good - damage is hugely better than original KG; and Incinerate immunity is a lot less common than Poison immunity. Both have really good utility - in particular, those permanent armour breaks are great for Despair & Inequity; and clutch against Infamous Iron Man, Ironheart, and Killmonger - he basically shuts…
  • Offensive ability accuracy applies to any ability of the Attacker, which occurs when an attack is landed. I think it's just going to be a node that's not subject to AAR, but doesn't say so.
  • Both Titania and Hulk are amazing; and Overseer is pretty solid, too. On the one hand, if your focus is BGs, then Hulk is probably the best BGs champ. In the other hand, if he's at r3, you may not get to play with him very often 🤔
  • Tremble with fear when they see your Thing? Insert your own jokes here, folks...😉

  • It was confirmed by the mods many years ago that Never beats Always in this game.
  • Dust is designed so that she works well against champions that Purify. She's not necessarily going to work well against particular node combinations which are designed to be helpful to champions that Purify. Why change a champion just because a particular part in Alliance War doesn't suit them?
  • The weirdest thing that made this fight harder than it needed to be: it literally never occurred to me that Kindreds's SP3 wouldn't be unlocked. SP3s being active is such a standard thing, it never occurred to me to check. Being able to stop watching Power was helpful. For me, Ultron was by far my best option. R4 6* was…
  • Not just that: it's almost certain that you'll need to use Deathless KG in a quest, in order to Awaken him. So (assuming you're planning to r2 him at all), it makes more sense to r2 him early, in order to make the challenge to Awaken him easier.
  • No, she's still amazing.
