Overheating fix not working

Since I downloaded the hotfix for the overheating problem, I haven’t seen any improvement.. My phone still gets hot after one round of arena (3 fights) and my battery drains very fast.. This is ridiculous...
Device: iPhone 8, iOs 11.4..
