Locking the rewards isn't going to change that. They'll still complete the content in one week and wait for the rewards.. this is bs..

And how is locking the reward going to help on that, as far as this event goes, someone could finish it without even knowing, apart from that, the sq is already quite overblown as well
Locking the rewards would “supposedly” hold the players from playing to they can get the rewards in due time after completing the content. Also why are y’all disagreeing with me, I didn’t made this up, Kabam started doing this months ago and a lot people know this 🤷🏻♂️
The intention here (I think) was to do one event with time gated rewards instead of 4x 1-Week Events where you can only make progress towards that Milestone when that event is on. Here, you're making progress towards these rewards all month long, and no gold is wasted if you used it after already hitting the top milestone of the week.
I know these time gated rewards aren't particularly popular amongst the community, and I think it has to do with the fact that we've earned the reward now, but have to wait to get it, but it is just the same event, using a different method.
You will also see more of these in place of things like Calendars that give keys to quests in the future (which, I have to say that this is a significantly better method than a Calendar because if you start the event late or miss a day, you're not going to miss out on Rewards).

It's objectively a better system it just makes everyone feel bad that we can see the rewards that we've earned already right in front of us with a lock on it. Like a really delicious looking cake locked in a display case that you can't eat

Last month’s one month structure in the Solo Events was better structured. Either do 4x 1-week events or give us currency each week to spend (like you did with the candy).
I’m more annoyed with the fact that they have zero creativity when it comes to SQ’s most months. Same copy-paste format 90% of the time (with some exceptions like the incursions quest ofc).

Players will not get use to it over time there is no cure for impatience what will happen is those players will start to filter out due to lack of interest

Say there are 40 cookies, they can either give 10 cookies every week. But nope, they show all 40 cookies and unlock 10 cookies every week. This makes Petyr want to break the cookie jar. I wonder what are benefits of this approach as they keep doing it. Perhaps it's good to buy 4 packets of 10 cookies for the month rather than buying one each week. Less cookie maintenance from Kabam and Peryr knows what all to eat for month and waits with increased hunger.

Logically, I know that this is correct and an objectively better system, but in a primal psychological sense me see rewards me have earned and me want now. It's a lot more tangible to see them behind a milestone I've completed compared to in a forum post telling me rewards for the various week long solo events, which makes it more frustrating.
Like, with the ropes I get it, because you want SQ to be weekly thing, but necropolis is coming in a week so we're not starved for auxiliary content. I feel like the gold solo event should have been a month long thing you could do in one day if you so desired.
