The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!
Hey OP, to answer your question about "When does this stop?", the answer is pretty simple. It doesn't!
You see, this is a live game. That means that over time, it will continue to shift and change, just like every single other live game that receives constant Character and Content updates. We will continue to add new Champions with new Abilities, and then later we might add a Champion to counter that. This is done for both Champions that are great attackers, and defenders.
For instance, some of the most successful/difficult Defender choices out there for quite some time were Dormammu and Magik. Eventually, Blade came along and countered them pretty well. But we can't just stop there! The goal here isn't to leave one Champion as the benchmark and then constantly limbo under that line. The Meta will continue to change, and we will continue to add content to make sure that the Battlerealm stays fluid and ever changing.
This is how live games work. Everything from Trading Card Games, to Battle Royale videogames. There will always be something new coming, and change will always be just around the corner.
