Serious suggestion - pause new content dev; focus on addressing bugs & gameplay issues

Disclaimer - Long(ish) post..
With the recent update, I guess it's safe to say that a significant no. of players are having issues with the game. And I'm not even talking about characters, quests and rewards but just basic gameplay. If I recollect (correctly ?) then iOS users faced heating issues among other things about a month or two ago & now it's time for Android users to face similar circumstances. Being the most fundamental part that any game development team has to have the utmost focus on; one can't help but feel that gameplay is being neglected in favour of other aspects. Hence the suggestion to address the bugs and other significant issues faced by players that are preventing them from having a good experience playing the game.

I do realise that this is easier said than done because of numerous reason. Prime among them is the fact that Kabam being a corporate has to focus on increasing revenues, profit etc. which means adhering to timelines for new content, character development and the like; I get that. But when you aren't getting the basics right and a significant no. of users are frustrated with the overall experience, somewhere things aren't going right - whether you choose to focus on it or not. If I may quote (Steve Jobs ?) - 'Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles.' Evidently the personnel that look after troubleshooting have their plates full and as the no. of players have increased over time (not to mention the myriad events in the game), gameplay issues remain conveniently unaddressed. It's about time they fixed this first because this affects both - old as well as new players. Somehow, one can't help but feel they are rushing with releasing new content without adequate system testing.

As for me personally, this is as close to breaking point as it gets. Lagging gameplay; unresponsive controls, the never-ending loading time now.. not to mention the ridiculous offers that these guys keep throwing up but that's for another day. Been happening since the last couple of weeks because of which I couldn't clear content and its just cumbersome to even try to play now. This on a phone with 8 GB RAM (One Plus 5T) tells you the sorry state of affairs. Sort of bored too tbh; too many new champs mean my roster having older god & demi-god tier champs isn't what it used to be. As such, the time is ripe to call it a day.. as many others have..
Hopefully things will get better from hereon for others.. Bazinga ! (c'mon.. who are we kidding..)

P.S. Thanks for the memories Kabam; for ppl who have bothered to read this till the end then thanks for your time too.

I feel like the problem is that they say they don't see the majority of game play issues, and assume it is the fault of the players device that is the root of everything.
I use an Iphone 8 and have plenty of problems. I understand it is not the latest and greatest, but I feel it is new enough in this huge mobile device market that it still should be considered when making advancements to the game.

I assume they have already pushed too far for optimal use on anything but the cutting edge, and hopefully one day they will account for older devices, but it would appear the only current fix is to update what you play on.
