Venom Worth the awakening?

I don’t have a lot of sig stones I don’t think, but I can always scrounge some from somewhere. I have a cosmic 4* awakening gem (Medusa is already duped and have Hype as a 5*) and I was wondering if Venoms sig is worth the gem.

    Bit early to make this judgement, but if you do awaken him you will want a higher sig. The only other 4* cosmics that I would consider are corvus, proxima, ronan, and maybe carnage. What rank is your venom?

    @taojay1 4/40 maybe otw to r5 (if I ever get the hang of Hype (at 3/45 rn) I will probably r4 him instead, so maybe not)

    Well if you enjoy playing venom then I think it's worth it. You already have a 5* powerhouse, so if you ever pulled a 4* corvus/proxima they aren't worth investing additional resources. Venom now has some great utility, mainly in that he completely counters evade against spiderverse characters, and that he's been designed as a iwim killer (armor break on heavy, true strike/unblockable specials below 18% health). Also some nice damage numbers coming from him. If you have a lot of sig stones, go for it

    But like, what does it add that I didn’t have? All I see are more effective (slightly) buffs and a guaranteed inability to have control over my random unwanted buffs.
