Gold Farming - Best Way

I've been struggling for gold ever since I became uncollected about a year ago. The contest does not seem to be including a "Gold Realm" for big payouts but also doesn't seem to be increasing the drop rates even though the cost to improve 5* and 6* champions is much greater than what is allowed in current drop rates. Just curious what people do, especially those that can't grind arena since they have actual jobs and lives with responsibility.
