Pausing before special

This has been a problem since the last update!
When I hit (activate) my special, my heroes will pause and then carry out the special allowing the AI opponent plenty of time to block. The AI does not experience this as if I hit my special the enemy will override and use their special somehow before mine despite my attempts at hitting the special activatation button
This is recognized as a total benefit to the opposing AI and not an issue with my
Phone or full wifi connection.

We all know once you get to certain stages in AQ and Vs, the game favours AI, both in terms of the matchups you get and the speed and way they fight.
I had a fight earlier that I simply quit as it was so blindingly obvious that AI were going to win after a few hits. Equal heroes, but they were simply insta heavying routinely, and I simply was unable to get out of the way as it was instant. they achieved their objective of getting me against the wall and you know then, you have no chance.
Sometimes you just have to let them win, they will anyway so just quit the fight and move on, while trying not to scream the bloody house down as the other fights in that matchup were half the speed and not at all nasty.
They are underhand and callous at times with this game, and that is simply not fair.
Simply put, you have made anything but 2* arena area for players with maxed heroes now, even at streak 6 or 7 you can come up against what.t I call death squads where you get one eaypsy rival and two insane ones.
It is callous, unfair and rather disappointing.
