Gulk synergy with black widow.

Gulk has a unique synergy with black widow that states that it increases her evade chance by 100%. As far as I'm aware by black widow sits on a passive (around) 3% evade chance for everything. However I did some testing and found this synergy made no affect.
Perhaps I have something wrong, how does this synergy work because it seems pretty OP.

Actual synergy:
LULLABY
Gulk - When struck hulk has a 20% chance to ready a SMASH for his next attack.
Black Widow - Evade Change increases by 100%

Gulk is a 4 star
BW is a 2 star but it should still be the same.

Edit - Just realised my mistake, it doubles to 6%

    Hint: its 6%.

    Don’t feel bad. I jumped to the same conclusion when I first got Gladiator Hulk.

    You should try her with ogHulk/Void. Very nice to stun with Void's SP.

    That would make opponents(with no AAR) impossible to parry and intercept
