Should I awaken my 4* Ægon or wait for AA?

I recently pulled a 4* Ægon and I’m unsure if I should awaken him. I need to do RoL and I have been putting it off for the longest time. If I wait for AA, I have a chance to finally get past 5.2.4. But I saw Ægon can cancel out masochism with enough hits. I can put 27 sig stones in him at the time of this post. Any advice can help, thx. (It’s a generic gem)
