They increased the drop rates of map 6 crystal. They removed the cap of points you can earn increasing the amount of milestones and potential rank you can earn. It's a lot harder but you do get better rewards.

You really don’t. I’ve seen a hell of a lot of posts on line amongst top players showing as little as a few hundred t2a from 20 map 6 crystals. When you’re playing at the highest prestige in the game, these changes don’t remotely have reflective rewards.
If the rewards were better this post wouldn’t exist but we’re basically getting the same rewards on a brand new map and champs that require more planning.

Same exact rank rewards. The crystal change has been minimal, if anything.
The champs placed on starburst far right are not appropriate. The problem I see is either:
1. Complete lack of thought on the opponent placed and what possible attackers can be used.
2. Forethought into it just seeing how many pots will be used.
Unavoidable damage knows in general are seen as a money grab in particular when you really can’t use attackers that regen given the node and the opponent.
Magik on caltrops is almost equally bad but not as bad as that path on the far right.

Marginally better rewards to a degree that is hard to even measure.

It seems obvious no testing was done as well.
