VtD on enhanced bleed

If I put VtD on a 40% enhanced bleed node in war but the attacker uses a bleed immune champion is the degeneration enhanced by 40% or does it only apply to the bleed?

No. He has a 55% chance to inflict bleed with every hit but if they're bleed immune they get degen instead
