Sp2 failure

So tonight I am fighting in arena & noticed that when my 4* maxed out Blade executed (or tried to) his sp2 against an opponent’s 4* maxed out Captain America (WW2), the screen went dark as usual when going into a special, but there was no special & Cap was able to hit me, while the special was supposed to be happening. Anyone experiencing similar issues?
