Which 5 star crystal

I have 1200 crystals to put towards my first 5 start hero. I was working to get a featured 5 star crystal, but I am wondering if I am wasting my time and 5,000 shards. Which is better for a first hero?

    Since its ur first 5* ur best bet would be the basic 10k crystal

    Are the first ones decent characters to get you rolling?
    I had 3 out of 4 great 4 stars to start (Magik, Luke Cage, Agent Venom, Gladiator Hulk) and then a series of **** lol. I wasn't sure if I had gotten lucky to start.
