Premium Disappointment

in Bugs and Known Issues
Dear kabam. I realize it is only a slight chance of pulling 4* from your premium hero crystals. However I have gone now nearly 500 premium hero crystals with not a single 4*. Meanwhile I have a friend who has opened back to back 4* from 2 crystals. Any insight on this? Am I just an unlucky player?

    Just an unlucky player. I'm not sure what's the average amount of PHCs opened to get a 4* champ, I'm just going to guess and say it's 200 or so.

    Bottom line here is, PHCs are mostly on luck. Most people get most of their 4* from forming 4* shards.

    Yea I understand. The best thing to do here is to not expect a 4* from PHCs, just assume you will always get 2* champs. If you open them expecting a 4*, you will be disappointed most of the time. But if you open them thinking to yourself "Just going to be 2*" and you DO get a 4*, it's very surprising and really makes you happy.

    I usually open them in batches of 10 so I can get something decent. I will say I'll get about 2 3* for every 15 I open. But ugh. I'm at the point where I'm hurting for new 4* or a dupe because I've run out of people to upgrade.

    If you can, try grinding the arenas, especially the 4* basic and/or featured arena. If you can, just score the minimum requirement to be eligible for rank rewards. If you do that for the 4* featured arena, it's a nice guaranteed 100 4* shards, and an additional 75 4* shards if you do that for the 4* basic arena. Do this 2 times per week and that's 350 4* shards.

    You can get the rest through alliance events like SA, Completion, etc. and by completing and exploring the monthly event quest.

    I get 4* crustals just not at the rate I used to. I went back to work and I'm in summer semester at Uni. If I could grind arena I would lol
