Pop or spin crystals

I am contemplating popping the 4 stars, 5 stars and the 6 star crystals since it was said the outcome is already decided when you spent your crystal shards. Should I go for it? Feel free to give your vote.

I pop all the crystals, unless I spin. I also spin all the crystals unless I pop.
