To Kabam,
By now we are all aware of the severity of the bans that have been imposed based on the unfair advantage some players gained through their mod use. The situation has rocked several alliances and while I fully understand the severity of the situation, I am writing because as I'm sure you're aware these bans have a greater impact than just the players who received them. We, the players that pack the contest 24/7 365, form tight knit bonds with people we've never met because of this game. We develop lasting and strong connections with our alliance members and develop a sense of trust in them. We become AN ALLIANCE a group of individuals bonded together to accomplish greater goals. In saying that we have members that were affected directly by the ban and while the stipulation of no account sharing is expressed in your TOC, it's fool hearty to think based on the structure of the contest that it would be impossible to compete at the level we are without some form of cooperation beyond the confines of the contest. We have guys in our alliance from every region of the globe. No amount of coordination would allow us to survive without help. Now with that said I understand that PED programs are forbidden and that they carry a stiff penalty, but going back to my earlier point if you place trust in a teammate and they violate that trust without your knowledge are you responsible? Yes but that doesn't mean you intended for that to happen. And that doesn't mean that all the countless hours you put in should be discounted when receiving your penalty. I liken that to the justice system in the USA when a person is sentenced they usually have people speak on Their behalf to prove they deserve a better sentence. Now let me be very clear my account was not impacted by the ban I stand to gain nothing individually from this note other than I have lost some "close" friends from my alliance because they themselves trusted another friend who decided to cheat without their knowledge. I am writing this because you posted the warning about account sharing and mod use AFTER you had already imposed the ban and I am hoping that you will see some reason in what I've written and afford people who were affected during this some leniency.
Thank you for your time

Suppose there was additional details needed on a specific rule, player A should have (1) privately asked for clarification or (2) which is my personal favorite, if you have to ask whether or not something you are doing or plan to do may violate said rule, you probably shouldn't be doing it.
I also have "friends" that have gotten banned; funny how their reaction started at "this is BS, I don't deserve this" to, when realizing that the ban is permanent, finally admitted to soliciting services to finish higher difficulty content. Not happy they are gone, but it's understood.
The email they sent, and post in the forum, are a REMINDER about the ToS and its violations, not a new and sudden rule they informed us about after the bans. The only ones you should have a grievance against is this 'friend/friends' that used a mod on someone's account. This is nothing like the US justice system, there is no right for someone to speak on your/their behalf, no jury, etc. The game is their property, and we play by their rules and their allowance.
