Just a general discussion

Have you guys ever started a thread just for pure info or discussion on subject regardless if it’s been discussed countless times? Some times people just want to have their own convo about it. Then kabam comes in with their copy and paste “we have had the talk before so this one is closed”. It feels a little bullyish for them to come in a **** down any discussion because they either A: don’t like it or B: In their eyes, it’s been discussed.

All I’m saying is that maybe they should back off the instant closing of some threads....

Those same folks might also need to look at the forum rules.

In my experience watching the forums, they usually don't close down discussions when there are 2-4 of the same topic floating around on different threads (such as there are right now). When they DO close threads, it's because there are 10+ of the threads, with new ones being created every few minutes, and there is already a large, designated thread for the discussion at hand.

Context is important for feedback, as is specificity. If there's a specific example that you think could have been handled better - rather than giving super generic feedback that they can take, shrug at and move on, give them something to look at, assess, understand where they went wrong, and do better.

By the way, is there a way I can contact the team with question about reason of deleting discussion ?

I don’t think you will get much more than the generic “it broke this rule of ours”

You won’t get much more of a response. They got copy and paste ready for every single thing we could possible ask.

They have a 'copy/paste' ready for the questions that have already been asked a dozen or more times over, and we don't bother to go looking up the answers first. (Like the deleting thread question.)

    At least in my experience.

In my experience here and in life in general, the posters are in fact customers, you don’t treat them like they don’t matter. I’ve worked in customer service for a long time. I’ve never ever given someone a cut and dry answer and said conversation over(closed thread). Regardless of how many times someone else has discussed or asked about that issue with me or anyone else. I respect your opinions and backing up of the mods and kabam. As I can see by your tags, they like you.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that it feels like a forced silencing of your voice. That’s all. Just my opinions.

There's only so many people answering the questions though - and at a certain point, when you have to answer the same question over and over again, you do get a bit rote.

Working in retail, I know I have. "No, we do not have that in stock. No, I don't know when we're going to get it again. No, rainchecks are not available for this offer."

It's not forced silencing if you respect and understand that they're trying to get to everyone, but they simply aren't able to do so. When the answer to a question is found in another thread - especially for big stuff/issues, they can either allow the forums to be clogged with dozens of people asking the same question over and over, or they can do their best to keep it neat, clean and organized, so people can actually find the answers they've given.

In my opinion - you're coming at this and viewing it from a negative angle, rather than seeing that this is to help us rather than hurt us. If you want a personalized answer to a question, you can PM a moderator.

Then they need to fix the search feature for mobile. Make navigation easier on this nightmare of a forum. For instance, search the term act 6. It’s pretty specific, but there’s a million things to dig through and it’s very tough on mobile. If they want us to find our own answers instead of bothering them, which is clearly what you said happens to them with our multiple posts, then use some of the money they make and fix this forum up. I know they are pinching pennies to make this work but I sure hey can come up with a few bucks and fix the forum up.

I know for a fact in the thread that was posted by one of the moderators a few days back that this was one of the enhancements asked for and that they came out and said they are looking to do a lot to help improve the forums over the next few months. :)

    So, wish granted?

Fair enough. I’ve tried to find the answers in the past but like I said it’s a nightmare. So I just post now. I’m glad though that after 4 years they are going to do something with the forums that most high school seniors in a tech class could do. Sorry but I’m pretty salty at the lack of effort put forth by them to just sack up and fix stuff and have it just WORK. They make so much money. They can afford it.

I have read the forum rules multiple times and I still can't find what's wrong about discussing the fact, that although champs are getting better, they aren't of much help with new content, which requires only pure skill.

They tend to delete a bunch, but I agree that they over do it. That being said I’m still not sure why my observation was deleted from your original posts. It’s stuff like that, that keeps fueling the flames. Anyone miss Adora yet.

    You had something deleted? Strange.

    Hi all,

If you have any questions about moderation, please send a PM to a mod rather than starting a thread about it.

To address one concern, Aria's perspective is pretty much right on. If a thread is moved, removed or closed it is likely because it is a duplicate and there is already an existing discussion, the question has been answered elsewhere or the topic isn't constructive.

We are happy to have discussions and feedback on the forums that bring new ideas and perspectives to the game, as the vast majority of threads do! :)
