Thoughts on Symbiote Supreme?

Hi All,

Just pulled a 6 star Supreme from the featured. Played a few rounds and quested a few paths and seems like he can put out plenty of damage. I don’t quite understand how he gains power as it is slow and would spike all of a sudden. Is he worth the investment to R2?

I have a 5/50 Symbiote Supreme, awakened, and let me say this upfront:

1. I love the character design and the concept of his powerset.
2. That being said, I absolutely hate his power gain mechanic. If you don't have points in Mystic Dispersion and he isn't awakened, he can be somewhat annoying to play because by the time he gets to dealing serious damage, the average fights on a monthly basis either end really quickly, which makes him less satisfying to play, or because his defensive base stats are so lacking and he has no regeneration capabilities, you take maybe just a little too much chip damage because the fights are longer.

That being said, my opinion about the question you asked: If you are one of those players who is pretty freaking good at not getting hit, as in you take hardly any chip damage and your evading and intercepting skills are on point, then yep, I would absolutely take him up.

Why?

Because make no mistake: Once you hit that L3 and if the character bleeds, then you are absolutely dealing Big Boy Damage. Symbiote Supreme can put characters down quick, fast and in a hurry once you do drop that L3 -- I only have a couple of points in Deep Wounds and I would cautiously categorize myself as maybe a bit above average as a player -- not great, but decent -- and I won't even lie: There are kills you will get, if the opponent you are fighting procs active buffs, that are world class.
