Thing shock damage

My four-star thing takes shock damage from electro when hitting into him, bug or does the thing's ability only apply to a debuffs on him that is shock?

Electro doesn’t deal shock damage when you hit him.

Thing is immune to shock abilities. Meaning, all shock.
As answered before, Electro has no way to deal shock damage

one of electrons ability says that when you make contact with electro you receive damage in a form called "static shock" so I'm guessing that's different shock then the shock debuff right?

Static shock is the name of the ability. It deals energy damage, not shock damage

Static shock is the name of the ability. It deals energy damage, not shock damage

Unfortunately yeah Electro's static Shock isn't covered under Things immunity. I really wish it was. If you have 15 or so Rock charges the damage received is lowered but not enough to fight a stacked Electro. When I first read his abilities I was hopeful too...
