Updated on android and can't log in

Was prompted for an update on android last night and clicked it. Now it says it cannot fully install the game, and I get a screen saying I need to free up space on my phone. I have 16 gigs free!! And because it won't fully install the game I can't log in and submit a ticket there. I tried deleting app and rebooting phone. I get the same message when I try to install again.
