This game has been pretty good. Too bad the horrible RNG system still bends you over constantly. If every single reward or item you received wasn’t subject to RNG it would be so much better.

That's possible. It is also possible the game would be so much deader.

Congrats on the made up word. Or at least a word I’ve never heard/seen before. It may possibly be more dead, but it’s also possible it could thrive so much more and people wouldn’t constantly quit due to horrible RNG.

Yes, both are possible. And for someone claiming to not like random results, you seem to be advocating a random bet with enormous downside.

Also, let's examine more closely just how high the upside is on that bet. MCOC is one of the most successful mobile games of its kind. Radical changes in its structure or monetization could destroy it completely: that's happened before to other games historically so that's well within the realm of possibility. Meanwhile the number of games that have been wildly more successful than MCOC are extremely few. Again, the odds are not in favor of that gamble.

I never said they had to change their whole model. All I said was not every reward has to be RNG based.

And not every reward is, so I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you were exaggerating the position that RNG rewards are bad in general.

What? Every reward isn’t RNG based? *scratches head*

Just because there has been improvements doesn’t mean players should be content. Contentment leads to stagnation.

The player base should, nah must, be vocal about issues, as improvement should NEVER stop. The game will change and as it does, older content will be outdated and possible create mechanic issues. The vocalization of issues allows opportunity to Kabam.

Some people may be harsher with their criticism, but that comes with the territory. Like the connection issues are a HUGE issue. They are still happening and the frequency is a little unsettling.

I cannot tell if this is a literal question or an exaggeration for which you're simply waiting for me to provide a counter-example that you can shoot down as being irrelevant to your larger point. So I'm unable to provide an appropriate answer.

It is a literal question because I cannot think of any rewards (at least Champion/crystal based) that doesn’t put you at the mercy of RNG. Unless you’re earning the 3* from Normal EQ or the champs from arena every champ based reward is RNG. You either earn shards which gives you an RNG crystal, or you earn a 4* or 5* crystal, also subject to RNG. If you can provide me with any reward where you can possibly earn a decent 5* or 6* (barring arena or purchases) I would love to know. So far the only only crystals I’ve seen with no trash are the marvelous crystals Kabam sells for usually $250-300. And I’m genuinely asking because I have never seen anything like that for free where there’s not 90% trash in the crystals like the dungeons.

It feels like in the last 3 years all that has changed is that there are more ways to grind and more piece parts to grind for. Seldom a "complete" something only bits and pieces of it! Sometimes in nonsensical amounts like the mysterious 4 shards i have that will never go away on my 3 and 4 star shard crystals...and I smell something afoot...but believe whatever it is is only going to result in more shards and kinds of shards and that on going feeling that all of us really aren't getting anywhere...just spinning our wheels...

It is a literal question because I cannot think of any rewards (at least Champion/crystal based) that doesn’t put you at the mercy of RNG.

Well, first you said "All I said was not every reward has to be RNG based" and there's lots of those. For example, event quest completion rewards and peak milestone rewards are largely non-random (they do sometimes contain random crystals as part of the reward, but there are non-random components to the reward that are usually the bulk of the reward). If you're now restricting it to champion rewards, the champions awarded for completion of RoL and LoL are non-random. The 3* champion you get for full completion of normal difficulty in monthly event quests is non-random.
Unless you’re earning the 3* from Normal EQ or the champs from arena every champ based reward is RNG.

Why would you claim there aren't any when you actually know there are some?
If you can provide me with any reward where you can possibly earn a decent 5* or 6* (barring arena or purchases) I would love to know.

Where can you get a non-random reward that is one of the highest value rewards in the contest, eliminating two of the avenues to get the highest rewards in the game? That one I can't answer. But now you've narrowed your objection to a sufficiently tiny place that I can say no reasonable game needs to provide such a thing, and the odds of that change having an outsized impact on the monetization and reward systems of the game become practically 1.0.

Going back to your previous post, you said: "I never said they had to change their whole model" implying that I put words into your mouth. But now you're asking for a way to earn specific high value champion rewards (and if you want to debate what "decent" means feel free to initiate that discussion) eliminating both the highest single player competition and monetary purchases. That does in fact require Kabam to rethink how they monetize the game in very fundamental ways.

As an aside, there's no logical reason to consider "crystal based" rewards that are non-random, since in general the whole point of crystals is to encapsulate a set of optional rewards for which there has to be a way to pick one from a selection of them, which essentially means they will be random rewards. If the reward is deterministic, there's usually no reason to wrap them into a crystal.

The game is falling apart... I say we all deserve better than playing this game

My thoughts exactly. Before the game use to be mostly in top 15 grossing but now they are mostly in the 40s. Game has been stressful and unplayable for old players. Too many trash champions.

Well ok I guess you got me. I guess I’m complaining just to complain. And I admit I really just dislike having the same conversations over and over with you. You clearly think the RNG system is perfect as is and you can’t seem to convince me that it is. I try to see things from your perspective but you keep talking like you’re a Kabam rep and you act like the system they have has no problems. Yeah sure they make money from all the gamblers and the game has been going on for 4 years but if money is all that matters then Kabam shouldn’t be in charge. There are other games that don’t focus so heavily on RNG and allow you to choose rewards that do just fine even if they don’t make billions off gambling. I just think Kabam needs to draw a better balance between money and player satisfaction. And on that note I am going to respectfully disagree with you and bow out because there’s honesty no reason for us to converse about Kabam’s RNG anymore. We are on two opposite sides and will never budge so why waste each other’s time?
