New technique - pushblock

Would love to see this Street fighter 2 move added in:

Basically, as the opponent is hitting you with a Combo that you are blocking, if you did a forward dashboard from the block, you would 'push' them back a distance, thus they would not be able to complete the combo and you can save some block damage.

I loved this move in sf2 when cheapy players would just pepper you with jabs and shorts, you can push them back and then unload.

Thoughts?

How easy would this be to implement in a mobile game vs having a Control Pad/Joystick and buttons? That might be the hardesr hurdle to overcome.

I would just allow the finger that is being held down to block, then swipe forward (forward dash) while still being held down to block, which would then serve as the 'push' which would then shove off the attacker to a middle distance.

This would help for lowered powered champs taking on higher powered champs, as you won't just get crushed to block damage and have some recourse rather than just waiting for them to finish the combo and then (assuming you're still alive) countering.

Is that "pushback" mechanic available to AI in Street Fighter? Or just to players?

In Street Fighter those combos can be much longer, right? And there is no Stun or Dexterity or other Abilities/Masteries/Synergies that allow for less damage to be taken.

At most you are taking 5 or 6 hits, depending on the enemy, and then you can counter.

The AI can do it as well. Yes, combos can be longer, but most are 5 hit combos, same as mcoc. There is no stun, but the newer versions did introduce a party, which was difficult to use, but pretty cool.

you know there is a pushback to avoid chip damage while your opponent is hitting your block right?

eventhough you know that you still want pushblock to avoid chip damage?

    thought you were being sarcastic

just watch youtube videos you can see it in pretty much most fights

or while blocking a combo use your right thumb to swipe back using the right side of the screen

left thumb left side to block-at the same time right thumb right side to swipe back

FYI:you'll be pushing yourself back from the opponent in case you picture something else in your mind

Yes, ive seen that here and there, looks like a dash back mid combo. The sf2 move, actually pushes the opponent, thus if you are pinned against the wall, this pushes them back to give you some room to breathe.

I agree, the mid combo dash back is a similar mechanic to avoid chip damage mid combo, so you're right that it's partially there.

Specific scenario, when juggernaut has unstoppable and has me pinned against the wall, it's pretty much just swipe back for your life. I would love to block him and then swipe forward to push him back off me and give me some space.
