Matchmaking Issues knocking Alliance from Plat3 to Gold1

Our Alliance, which usually lands in Platinum 3, looks to be getting shafted and placed in Gold 1 simply because Kabam’s matchmaking system is broken. We started matchmaking, waited awhile, reset matchmaking, and weren’t given a war for the last one of the season. I know we’re not the first alliance to face this issue. One would think that they’d have this figured out after doing this for years. One would also think that Kabam would attempt to fix the issue for our alliance in some way. Instead, after numerous members reached out to Kabam, we got generic responses which ultimately led to, “There’s nothing we can do.” I know changes are finally coming to matchmaking next season but it still sucks after putting in all of that time, energy, and resources. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this experience and if Kabam compensated them in anyone? Thanks guys!

    The new matchmaking system should correct this. In terms of your current situation, chances are they’ll say it’s your fault for not starting matchmaking as early as possible (even if you started at 11am PST).

    Restarting your search was probably the worst thing you could have done. It puts you at the back of the queue.

    Still had almost 3 hrs left after the intitial restart. How is that working as intended? I guess if you intended for your product to perform like a piece of **** maybe.

    You could have been 5 min away from a match but you cancelled and re-searched.

    As it is, the re-work of the matchmaking system should alleviate these long searches.

    I realize all that but what we experienced had to be a glitch.. searching for hours is not reasonable and no I don’t care that they changed it for next season that doesn’t help me right now.
