Master Mr. Sinister Overrides Indestructible?

I am sorry if this has been discussed, but I can't find it. I'm having a hard time identifying what in Mr. Sinister's abilities or nodes in Master allow his SP3 to KO an indestructible champ. I had KM with his Indestructible buff from his SP2 when Mr. Sinister threw his SP3, and KM was KO'd. Normally KM would tank SP3s. Is it due to the 100% chance for concussion that is part of Sinister's SP3 negating ability accuracy? I thought those effects are put on as a result of the attack, not during it. Or is there some other mechanism in place preventing our champs from tanking his SP3 like they usually can?
