I believe rewards are meant to entice a player to log in consistently. With that in mind, the game could benefit from persistent rewards for people who continue to log in for an extended period of time.
For example, if you log in for one month, the following month you receive 100 4* shards daily on top of normal monthly rewards. After two months, the following month you get 200 5* shards daily, the next month you get 200 6* shards daily, and that would continue daily for as long as you log in.
This would encourage players to stick around, as the time necessary to build up to these rewards are significant, and only one day off will cause you to start over, yet the rewards are great enough to be desirable without being game breaking. 1 6* every 50 days to a loyal summoner isn’t too OP, especially when you consider the bottleneck of t5bc.
I'm okay with the other rewards (Although I would like half of the gold crystals to be t4cc fragment crystals) but I think choosing wasp as the month's champ is just ridiculous. Couldn't it be someone new? Like VTD or Aegon?
In the world on entitlement this saying doesn't mean anything anymore "beggars can't be choosers" ...we live in a world now where when one person bust his butt to get ahead, everyone else thinks they should get the same reward for nothing. If you want the reward go earn take pride ...or go buy it ,Kabam likes that better... The only thing I can think where that truly applied is that of our veterans. Their hard work ensures our freedom to complain about how unfair everything is. I salute my brothers in arms!
There is a similar post on this same topic that I posted on a few moments ago, so for those in this thread I will add it here too.
I didn't have the time to read every single post throughout this thread, but I think that people are missing the point of the calendar. It is not to keep end game players logging in, they already are addicted and log in multiple times a day. The purpose is to keep low and mid-tier players logging in. They are the ones that are behind the curve and lose interest when difficult content is released.
It is the same as low and mid-tier players complaining that Kabam is screwing them with Epic nodes that they are not ready for and end game players just give them the old "Git Good". That content is for end game players.
Kabam has to cater to a lot of different people, skill levels, and budgets.
You form a full grandmaster crystal (GMC) every 14 days. That’s without missing a day
So, it is replacing the PHC shards. Thanks!
Even better, if I remember correctly, you get a full phc shard crystal every week. Before the reduction in price from titles, that was 100 units per week.
In uncollected, we get a gmc every 2 weeks. They cost 200 units, so that is ALSO 100 units per week.
For those that say it's about boosting lower tier players, those of us that have played this game since the beginning consider that a horrible point. Newer players dont understand how spoiled they are with shards alone. Try having you sole hope at a 4 star coming from completing act 4 or out of premium Crystal's. It took years just to build up a solid 4* roster in the beginning. Some of us actually had to work for our rosters where as now adays a player can just start up and have a 5* in a few weeks.

Why is it a horrible point? It is the actual point.
I started in the beginning and had to work hard for my roster. I am a committed player now, they do not need to give me incentive to log in. New players that cannot keep up need incentive to maintain interest. See the problem lies in that a lot of players feel like they are owed something for the time they put in, but in reality you were already compensated for time with entertainment and fun. If you are not getting entertainment or fun from playing, you really should not be playing a game because that is the purpose of the game.
By the way end game players that have been around or are newer do get the rewards of Epic and Variant content that newer players do not get.
