Iphone 8 plus issues

Playing on my Iphone 8 plus latest IOS. If I play with the volume buttons on top the game does not play right. If I try to parry it causes me to dash back. Doing light attacks (tapping screen) will trigger me to do a heavy attack sometimes. If I try to dash it does an attack. I literally have to swipe the whole phone scrren to dash back.

If I play with the volume buttons on the bottom I have to position my thumbs in a certain area other wise again cant parry or dash or block.

I don't have this issue on my samsung tablet.

I tried with my screen guard on and off.
