Spider-Man (Classic) duped

Hey guys. So today I opened my 7th 5 star crystal, they all suck except medusa. And what I got was duplication of spider-man classic. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?
I dont like him much when he is unduped. Should I upgrate him now or should I waste my resources for better 4 star chapions?
Also, is he good for defence in AW?

    He can be a nuisance on defence but tbh i would invest in ur better 4*s over him
