I opened my first 5 star in the second week of June, and I'm already at 8,000 shards. I don't go over 800k in the basic arena and I don't grind the featured 4 star arena. Ever since the new 5 stars were added it has been so much easier to get 5 star shards.
I really have no clue how I got 8k more shards lol. So thanks Kabam, you made it so much easier to get 5 stars
