Screw gifting, let us trade stuff

With the gifting badge removed, how about finally letting us trade items from inventory? With the ever-changing meta, and the horrible RNG, i think it'd be a fair trade-off (pun intended).
Thoughts?

I actually would like to know the extent of the "fraud and exploitation" and what not that was being caused by gifting. Because they made it sound like it was so bad that the FBI might get involved since it was such a criminal thing going on. Until we know the actually situation of it all, the whole "I think that would be replacing one exploitable feature with another" argument would be pretty useless. Unless you can explain how you can exploit the feature on such a criminal level @GroundedWisdom .

But in regards to OP's topic, I think that would be good. It's a better idea than trading champs that everyone keeps making threads about. I don't see how trading items would break the game. But also that would mess with Kabam's RNG-making money ordeal.

If trading was allowed I think it should be limited. Can’t include champions crystals. Can trade energy, revives, health at a minimum? Maybe expand a few more things. Could also limit to trading within the alliance only?

Person A steals a credit card, adds it to an apple/google
Person A sells items to be traded to Person B for x amount of money
Person A uses stolen CC to buy the items to trade to Person B
Person A then has a clean amount of money that Person B paid him.

When the credit cards are canceled under fault apple returns the money to the defrauded party, which it has to do by law. It then takes that money away from Kabam. In general Kabam is not notified which account was used to buy the units that were refuned, but lets assume they are in this case. Kabam could close thier account, but they are still out the units that were traded to Person B's account. They cannot ban Person B because there is no evidence that they did anything wrong. Player A then creates a new free account to do it all over.

FBI? Perhaps, perhaps not. Illegal, most definitely. Fraudulent Credit Card purchases used to buy Units, then reselling Items for a discounted price through arrangements outside the game.

this is money laundering, FBI would probably get involved if it is large enough

No doubt. I just have no knowledge of whether they are or not.

Then again, I don't think Resource Mercs are a legit thing in general. I know it's a thing. I just don't think it's legit. Lol.

Like others have said, the exploitability of these features is way too high. Not everyone is an honest person.

@NiteAndDae i didn't say champs, i said items from inventory.

They could make provisions to cut back on fraudulent behavior. Like for example, we could only trade with friends that have been friends for x amount of time. These people playing the system have their clients add several dummy/farm accounts as friends, send the stuff over, then get out. I'm sure it would still get taken advantage of, l but would slow the process and cut down on these guys selling items to anyone and everyone.

Side note, anytime @GroundedWisdom comments on posts lately, it's easier for me to imagine it's just miike's or another mods side account. Makes more sense that way hahahahahah

Trading will break the game more than gifting!

So, in all honesty, I just have yet to hear a viable option for trading that isn't open to exploitation. Please, if someone could provide a viable suggestion as to how to implement an exploit proof trading system that is still relatively simple and useful to the player base, I would love to hear it.

No sarcasm, I cannot think of a way to do it myself, but am open to hearing suggestions.

Okay okay, did not think of that. I've been racking my head trying to figure out a way to "exploit" a gift but that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

They don't have side Accounts. They can speak for themsleves quite nicely.

Ok, let's actually just play this out ...

Kabam introduces trading - Allowing one to swap one equivalent star champ for another. Simple, right?

I now start a new account ... actually, I start 100 of them. Early on in the game, you get some units, get some easy content, let's say it takes me 1 hour to get enough resources for my first phc, and I get lucky enough to pull a 4*. Assume I pull a 4* on only 25% of my accounts, that gives me 25 4*, in only 100 hours.

I can now trade between them, stacking one account with Corvus, Proxima, Ghost, Aegon, whomever I was lucky enough to pull. And If I keep going with another 100 accounts, within a short time I will have a pretty amazing account, right?

And yes, I know the OP post was about trading items, well, it would work exactly the same, I can stack one account. Can we just put to rest the trading thing now?

Kabam starts cracking down on you when you have 5 or more accounts.

I think that would be replacing one exploitable Feature with another.

That’s the first argument you made that I agree with.

If trading was in the game, people could just make a second, and third accounts and doo easy content for revives and stuff like that. Get higher levels of potions and trade for lower rarity items. It is a good idea in theory but it will be very very bad in execution

Trading lol this would be easier to abuse than the gifting badges which is why they we're removed.
