    Don’t want to put in effort, then it’s normal for them to have a shortage.

    I personally think that if they were to bring back the Gold Realms as a regular thing, I'd like to see it replace the Grandmaster Free-For-All, and generally see Sunday become a 'Gold Day'. So we'd have a Gold Realm (and I'd be fine paying the 1,2 and 3 energy per tile like the last version, and a bit harder than last time), an Arena to replace the Crystal Splash/Cornucopia which had a fair chunk of Gold available in the Milestones, and maybe even a special Sunday Alliance Event with different requirements each week and tons of gold available as rewards.

    Let's say 1M-1.5M gold available each Sunday if you 100% all difficulties of the Gold Realms, complete all the milestones (ignoring gold gained from keeping up streaks and opening up Arena Crystals) and getting the top milestone in the Alliance Event. Maybe even 2M gold if you want to go that far. That's still a ton of gold. And I think that would be enough to fix the gold issue, meaning people don't need to give up their social lives to grind arena 24/7 just to pay for map 7 or their next rankup. They only need to give up their social lives one day a week instead. Yay. Sunday also becomes less boring than it is currently. Hey, look at that. That's a ton of problems solved.
