And we shouldn't have to pay to reconfigure our own points.
And we should be able to have a set of pre-defined masteries that we can switch up easily and quickly instead of having to redo the entire thing point by point.
On a relatable note, they should have a "mastery layouts" feature. Basically, you can have 3 different layouts for each of the mastery trees, only 1 will be active of course. When you want to switch from one layout to another, you can do so, but it'll cost you 15 units or something like that.
This encourages the common tip seen in the loading screen on "having different mastery setups for different game-modes", because currently, it is too troublesome to have to recover everything and put them back, not to mention it is expensive if frequently done. This feature is good for convenience, and the 15 unit swap encourages players to make use of their own layouts.
I have been on this subject in here with Kabam since the tree was first added. (I think most of those posts got pulled.) From day one of the skill tree being added they have had a "bump" between modes that popped up and said, "customize your skill tree as often as you like to..." I tried it, and it dumped out my entire defensive section of the tree! When I was only looking to switch one point. I was pissed! 'Cause I thought I could remove a single point. I started saying what you have written up above even then! (except the switchable active trees...I really like that idea! ) Their ridiculous marketing department has no clue how to price things! So I suggested they lower the cost of the cores (and such) and that if we reset, the things we have used points in remain open but inactive until the point is re-added. I told them from the very beginning that no one was gonna change their skill tree on any kind of regular basis because the goods to change the tree come at to dear a price. Given that they keep tweaking the entire game the tree has never actually worked like it was supposed to and yet we have all invested a small fortune in time, credits, (sometimes real cash) and cores into choices that don't work like they were presented to and we gotta come up with all the **** to reset the tree if we want out of that "Not working right!" build...seriously Kabam do something about this!
PS kabam the $1.99 Guardians crystals was a start. I almost bought them! Except for one thing. I have opened like 30 of them or more and gotten exactly two 3*s and the rest 2's! So a buck 99 was too expensive for what I could expect to get out of the crystals....went a little to tight on the threes and fours in there...and straight up! Admit it! You even lowered the odds in the Premiums just before this event didn't cha?
