Another Omega Red issue - special attack interrupted

Aside from opponents either evading/dex'ing (non evade champs that is) or firing off specials while Omega Red is hitting into a block, I was just fighting Kingpin in AQ and I fired off Omega Red's special 2 and before it ended, Kingpin was hitting into my Omega. I just had a quick read of my Kingpin description and abilities but nothing is standing out that he should be able to do that.

Is Omega Red broken or can KP interrupt special attacks?
