Is it always true, quit game results in half-life lost (AW)?

I tried to take a sneak peek at the hidden AW opponent.

Sent in an already knocked out champ with a level one revive. 350 health points.

When I quit game, the champ was K.O. instead of retaining 175 health.

???

    Think you have to pause and wait it out.. not quit

    You have to pause & let it time out, quitting K.O.'s your champ instantly.

    If you try to pause and wait out a special 3 though, it will complete the special 3 when time runs out and then take half health.

    If i understand correctly, it still counts as a death for the other team though
