why is spiderman (stark) not an avenger?

he is based on the MCU spiderman is he not?! he is officially an avenger in MCU so why not in MCOC?

    Wish he was lol as mine's at r4, but technically I guess he never really fought with them under the avengers tag. The avengers just refer to the main champions. A lot of champs have fought alongside the avengers, so if they made him an avenger, people would start asking about dr strange etc.

    He is not an avenger in the game. Even if it was according to the MCU, he would still not be an avenger, since Iron Spider was the one who got that title

    Following the movies (earth 19999) he did not acept in last movie the offer of Tony Stark to be an Avenger (he thought TS was kidding sort of.... ). So in this movies at least he was not a original member of Avengers, it seems..

    it's not the same tho.. dr strange is not an avenger he was just fighting alongside them... spiderman was referred to as avenger

    I was see and original Spiderman have Avenger tag too.

    More akward, miles Moraes have too.

    Maybe they forgot put the tag in sparky 😰

    That's not how it works. Despite Spider-man (classic), Sym Spider-man and Stark Spider are the same person, they all are different characters.
    So Stark Spider isn't an avenger. Same reason why Green Golbin, Gwenpool, Heimdall, or literally anyone that isn't an avenger, isn't an avenger

    Movies don't matter here. This is the story of the game, not the MCU story.
    In this game, he is not an avenger. He is also not an avenger in MCU until he becomes Iron Spider (which is NOT Stark Spider).

    No, the game doesn't follow the movies. It happens on his own universe, with different rules and laws. And that's the reason why there is balance, humans are able to defeat god's.
    You are mistaking Avengers tag with NewAvengers tag.

    For me is same thing,
    But if we be more specific, so Spiderman enanced star should be New Avenger.

    And seems to me the game follows the movies. In One of The movies (Thor Ragnarok) i saw too very references in movie to this game (The used Often The words "contest of Champions" and i think was not coincidence.....)

    For now, NewAvenger tag doesn't do anything in the game. It doesn't interact with any ability, and it doesn't serve you in any game mode.
    The game takes inspiration of both Marvel Universe, MCU and real-life, while not taking place in any of them.

    @will-o-wisp he's based on MCU spiderman, who is an avenger in MCU... just like Thor (rag) Black Panther (CW) and Captain America (IW) are all based on MCU characters and have avengers tag in the game

    And again, Stark Spider is not even an avenger in the MCU. Iron Spider, which is a different character, is the one that appears on Infinity war movie.

    Didnt you see that thing that Tony Stark did to Spiderman SE in Infinity War movie before went to space? In that moment he became an Avenger.....

    @will-o-wisp you're saying two contradicting things... first you said the movies don't matter, and then you're arguing that in the movie it was iron spider and not se spider-man (who are literally the same person)... so which one is it? do movies matter or not?

    after the events of endgame spiderman is an avenger... not iron spider.. spiderman... and mcu spiderman is mcoc's spiderman se... so why not give him the tag now.. after endgame?

    The game just takes inspiration on the movies, like character models. The powers and abilities are different.
    I just said that about Stark / Iron Spider to nullify the arguments that were being based on the movies only

    the new spiderman is based on the movie "homecoming", where peter isn't an avenger yet, so it's right that he doesn't have the "avenger" tag... as other players have already said, he became an avenger in infinity war, after receiving the iron suit from stark and saving strange, and his design was a lot different from the one we have :)

    Yes, in spite is The same person, but The tech is diferent. It makes sense that is like diferent character..
