Hello all -
Looking at rank up suggestions for 5.3.1. Is it even worth upgrading any four stars with my options? I also have a 5* mystic AG available.

Really the general idea is that champs with big furies really don't lose that much from the weakness. Like WS gets back to normal attack in 25 hits with 4* KM, or just 10 with the 5* version. And SG can get up to +150% attack with max spider sense charges, meaning even with the -50% detriment you still have double the normal attack. So they're also good options.
I just finished the 'easy path' for 5.3.1 the other day, and the biggest thing to worry about is probably that Spidergwen. You don't really have any good evade counters for spidergwen so you'll want to find someone else in another class who can shut her down. Again, I used SG and Venom. They're mad.
tl;dr, what does the rest of your roster look like? You might have some other great options in the other class. You don't need to use ONLY the relevant class to clear 5.3.
I used SG (3/45), Venom (4/40, for SG synergy), WS (3/45), KM (4/40, for WS synergy) and Voodoo (5/50)
SG can get +150% attack with her spider sense charges, and even with the -50% attack penalty, that's still double the normal attack, and only -20% to her total damage when she's fully ramped up.
Similar case with Winter Soldier. 4* KM meant he got back up to normal attack in 25 hits, and then ramped up from there. And 5* KM would mean he gets back up to normal after 10 hits, and 550% attack when fully ramped up (meaning you only lose ~8% damage when fully ramped up from that penalty).
There are a lot of champs that will still be able to get through that content fairly well, despite that stupid -50% attack penalty. So my question is; what does the rest of your roster look like? You might have some champs in other classes that can still destroy 5.3. And maybe even do so better than those mystic champs you've got.

I went in for every chapter with SM classic, Guillotine, Venum, this synergy gave me +12% attack for the whole team and a additional +4% attack for Venum.
I pop a champion 20% boost and chose 2 champions of the appropriate class.
The run is fairly easy, and Venum even with the 50% penalty is the MVP for this chapter. Took down a bunch of adversary and a few annoying spidey.
so in my opinion you should dupe Mornigstar, cuz that makes her so much stronger Overall!!!
If you take giulltine, Hood, MS, Magic and maybe a heimdal would be nice for synergys
But you cant go through act 5.3 with only mystical champs...
Like I'd do it as such:
- r3 5* unduped Spidergwen (with Gwenom Rising synergy) (planning to 4/55)
- 4/40 unduped Venom
- r3 5* unduped Angela
- r3 5* WS (with 4* KM synergy)
- r2 5* unduped Hela
- 5/50 sig ~80 Void
- 5/50 sig 18 Doctor Voodoo
- 5/50 sig 19 Gwenpool
- 5/50 sig 29 Corvus Glaive
- 4/40 sig 40 Hulk
- 5/50 unduped OML
- 4/40 unduped Hawkeye
So those are all of my good champs, but I'd also recommend including champs you could see yourself using if you ranked them up. You might have a good enough roster as is...
Here are my very top champs I usually use. All good, just one ranked mystic in Hood. I think I may just need to strategize the path more.
I think that if I had your roster, I'd find myself using the following most:
- Luke Cage
- Corvus (especially if you can get yourself some charges)
- Winter Soldier if you have at least a 4* KM to pair with him (ramp up doesn't care about the -50% weakness)
- Gwenpool (especially if she was awakened)
- Angela (raw damage and good furies)
- Archangel
I could see you using Hood, Ronan or Guillotine too. They're all good champions. Especialy with that r4 hood he'll just do a lot of damage just because he's r4.

The Wintersoldier is sweet af but i wouldnt use him, cuz his power loss he gains from dupe is random and not predictable!
Also really jealous of that dorm and gully
but yeah you REALLY need the KM synergy (at least 4*) if you want to use Winter Soldier.
