Network error in arena

Often I will load up the arena for a series and when I go to start the first fight it will say network error and kick me out. When I go back in, it says I lost the first fight. I often lose my multiplier because of this and it's completely unfair. This happens sometimes out of nowhere, but also sometimes when I set my phone down for a bit before starting the arena.

Does this happen to anyone else?
